The 19th Annual Comcast San Jose Jazz Festival is this weekend. 1000 performers on 10 stages will be providing wonderful music including jazz, R&B, latin, blues & salsa. I enjoy this festival because you get to see some great local and national acts. Headliners this year include Dr. Lonnie Smith, David Sanborn, Javon Jackson, Les McCann, and Manhattan Transfer. Local favorites include Dayna Stephens, Gini Wilson, Nicolas Bearde, and Mo’ Rockin Project. If the music gets too hot outside, you can always cool down and enjoy the music at San Jose Repertory Theatre, Cinema 3, Theatre on San Pedro Square, or The Tech Museum of Innovation. After the sun goes down, there will be Festival Club Crawl on Friday and Saturday and a CEO Jam Session on Friday. At just $10 per day or $25 for a three-day pass, this festival is one of the best deals around for live music. See you there!
