Weekend in L.A.

So how was your weekend? While you were not looking, I slipped off to Los Angeles for the weekend. I got to see both sets of Andy Bey on Saturday evening at The Jazz Bakery. He was phenomenal. Earlier in the day, I went to Roscoe's Chicken and Waffles on Pico, did just a little music at Amoeba Music, and went to Venice Beach. On Sunday, I got some rest, went to Roscoe's Chicken and Waffles in Long Beach, met a famous blogger, and strolled on the pier before it was time to head back and catch my flight home.
Musically, I picked up new releases from Soulive and the Yellowjackets. I also got Miles Davis', Relaxin' with Miles Davis Quintet and John Coltrane's, My Favorite Things.

You mean, you got to go meet up with Antonio, do Amoeba Music, AND Roscoe's Chicken and Waffles? Now that's a weekend.

Of course, I don't know why you linked that "famous" blogger seeing that he don't ever post... not Like I am one to talk..

I think you need to make a whole separate blog for all your travels. LOL

That's crazy, I was just listening to My Favorite Things yesterday.
Help, I need to buy my mama some new music for Mother's Day. Any suggestions on new releases?
