Music to start your year…

I will be starting off my New Year by seeing jazz guitarist Earl Klugh at Yoshi’s. He was smooth before there was smooth jazz. I am hoping he will have a new release in the new year.
Poncho Sanchez is closing out the year at Yoshi’s and Rick Braun will be at Kimball’s East. Poncho is sold out but there are still tickets available for Rick Braun. Gerald Levert with special guest Will Downing will be at the Paramount Theatre on 1/3.
If you are staying home tonight, check out Toast of the Nation, on your local NPR station. Throughout the evening, there will be live broadcasts from some great concerts across nation including Lizz Wright, Herbie Hancock, Kurt Elling, Stefon Harris, Dee Dee Bridgewater, Marian McPartland, Cedar Walton and many more.
