1986 – 2006: 20 Years of Celebrating Jazz
Founded in 1986 by a small group of jazz devotees, the San Jose Jazz Society has become synonymous with excellence in performance and education. Best known for the highly regarded annual Comcast San Jose Jazz Festival, which presents hundreds of top jazz artists to the community, the San Jose Jazz Society also produces hundreds of in-school programs, concerts, and educational activities. These workshops bring jazz to kids in schools throughout Santa Clara County where there are little or no music programs.
